Marden-Kane welcomed two new account coordinators this past month: Daniel Moss and Liz Spencer. They recently completed Marden-Kane training and are hard at work on servicing your promotions. We spoke to them recently to learn more about them….
Meet Daniel
What did you do before coming to Marden-Kane?
Before Marden-Kane I was a sales associate at Lowe’s for the appliances department. I did this for 3 years while in college but recently left to join the Marden-Kane team and make the best of my Business Degree.
What have been some of your biggest accomplishments or proudest moments in life?
Graduating college so far has been my biggest accomplishment. Driving to Florida with friends was another one – didn’t think we would make it but after 24 hours we did.
What do you like about Marden-Kane so far?
I love the people I work with. Everyone is very nice, friendly and a pleasure to be around. The job itself is very interesting and changes occasionally from project to project.
Tell us some things most people don’t know about you.
I love to cook and try all types of different food. I was born in Jamaica so Caribbean cuisine is something I actively seek out in the different areas I travel. I enjoy tasting and experiencing the many different adaptations to it.
What are your 3 favorite things?
My 3 most favorite things are my family and friends, the gym, and watching horror movies.
What was the last book you read?
The Marden-Kane Training and Reference Guide®; there is a lot to learn.
Meet Liz
What did you do before coming to Marden-Kane?
Before coming to Marden-Kane, I worked at Petco for three years as a dog trainer and companion animal leader. I love working with animals, but I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and wanted to pursue a career in my field.
What have been some of your biggest accomplishments or proudest moments in life?
One of my biggest accomplishments would be graduating from college. While enrolled in school at Molloy College, I had struggled with anxiety and had issues at home. But, with the help of my professors and wonderful friends, I was able to graduate on time with a 3.6 GPA.
What do you like about Marden-Kane so far?
I love that Marden-Kane is like a big family. Everyone here is willing to help with even the simplest question. I am learning so much more than I thought I would, and I can’t wait to learn more.
Tell us some things most people don’t know about you.
Something that most people don’t know about me is that I love acting. Most people know that I love theater, especially musicals, but I love to act and sing in them too. I especially love community theater because it’s a more intimate experience in a small theater.
What are your 3 favorite things?
My three favorite things are my books, my guinea pigs, and my dog.
What was the last book you read?
The last book I read was Don’t Shoot the Dog! by Karen Pryor. I read it because I wanted to get some more knowledge on positive reinforcement training for dogs, but I learned how you can also use positive reinforcement with people.
